Transceiver’s connector Compatible transceivers The RS-BA1 is compatible with Icom transceivers that input and output audio through a LAN or the USB port I did not put any efforts in testing the 7000 but given the fact that all the models the software supports, you shuld consider to look at what you do. So, while the software could have some TLC at some points and also possibly an API and opennness, it certainly does not in my eyes is crappy software. Now I hope you also understand why the 7300 has 'REMOTE' and 'USB' - those are the only connections the TRX offer. You migth have noticed that for the 9700, you can select LAN, USB and REMOTE because it can connect via these thee methods. Therefore, an IC7000 will never have USB and only "REMOTE" as that is the only connection it has. Pedro, I thing the issue her is the confusion(s) about USB, remote et al.The 'REMOTE', USB' and 'LAN' are the connections at the radio side itself. I guess the origin of the problem is located here. With the IC7000 and IC706 (under generic single band) this tick box is locked on remote so the non-working selection. If you select here “USB” instead all works fine.

When you select on the remote PC in IC7300 mode “remote” nothing works. This is exactly where the bug of the IC7300 is located. When selecting IC7000 or generic single band radio the second tick box is not selectable but locked on “remote”. While they can be controlled locally over serial/USB using the RS-BA1 v2 app, the remote control via the same app does not work.Īfter two days of playing and searching I think I diagnosed the problem. The really bad news: it does not work with IC7000 and older radios like IC706MKIIG. The bad news: old bugs with IC-7300 are still in it The RC-28 is not a standalone control for Icom radios and may only be used with the RS-BA1 software.(remote operation not working with IC7000) The encoder includes a PTT and two user-programmable function keys. The optional RC-28 utilizes the same tuning knob and encoder used on Icom HF radios, providing a tactile option for the RS-BA1 software. Please use the latest firmware version of the transceiver. *Depending on your radio, a few functions or modes cannot be used, or you need to update the radio's firmware to operate the CW keyer, using the RS-BA1ĭepending on your transceiver, some functions or modes cannot be used, or you need to update the transceiver’s firmware. *RS-BA1 operation with the Base station's PC connected to the radio's ACC socket, MIC connector, or S/P DIF jack for audio communication cannot be guaranteed. The IC-756PROII/III, IC-746PRO, IC-7400 or IC-7000 can be connected to a PC with an audio cable and RS-232C cable through CT-17 CI-V level converter *.

The IC-9100, IC-7600, IC-7410, IC-7300, IC-7200 or IC-7100 can be connected to a PC with a USB cable and the input/output audio signal and CI-V command is sent through the USB cable. The IC-7851, IC-7850, IC-7800 or IC-7700 has a built-in Network function, so only an Ethernet cable is needed. It provides a high speed, high resolution spectrum scope equivalent to the main unit (For a single band on only the IC-7851, 78).
